Hi, I'm Dan and welcome to Brawn Performance
My training journey started around the age of 13, and like most young lads, I was in awe of the action heroes you’d see on TV and wanted to be just like them. On top of that, I had the insecurities of being overweight to come over which highly dented my confidence. Also, where do I even start?!!
I just began… reading the regular fitness magazines, searching the internet for anything I could find but at that point, not much was going around. I found one of my dads old dumbbells and just started lifting, not having a clue what I was doing.
Overtime, with more and more information being fed to the public, I began to get confused…
“I shouldn’t eat fat (the macronutrient) as it will make me fat”
“How much protein do I need?”
“If I starve myself, this will make me skinny”
“I need to be exercising all day every day”
“Everything I eat needs to be healthy”
All, putting me in a poor positions and leaving me wondering why I’m still not achieving my goals.
This was a long journey of trial and error, then suddenly, I started seeing results
“I can eat this chocolate bar, as long as it fits inside my macros”
“I don’t need to train everyday, let alone all day?”
“Sleep is actually very important”
“This supplement is a waste of time”
Overtime, small improvements helped me achieve goals I’d never thought possible, always falling back on thinking I’m not a runner, I’m not meant to be in shape. After building solid habits, focusing on specific goals and not falling into marketing traps.
I think what I’m trying to say is, I know what you’re going through. I’ve been there, all the information has confused me too, the industry is full of misleading information. I want to help you cut through the noise, break down your barriers and achieve your muscle and strength building goals.
Any questions, please reach out!
Much love
Dan
