Dan has been a good friend for several years. When he told me he was starting on the Brawn Journey I was very happy for him but it also came at a great time for me. At that point, I was a 3.2 handicap golfer. I didn’t exercise at all (with the exception of golf) and my lifestyle was not healthy. I was able to retain that handicap through good technique and experience, but my body was constantly holding me back from achieving any more goals. I realised that in order to improve I needed guidance, so we began working together in April 22’. The difference 5 months later is staggering, I am two stone lighter, much stronger and healthier, and playing the best golf of my life. I am now a scratch handicap player, which has been a dream of mine for many years, and have gained 30 yards of distance off the tee. I now gain more than two strokes per round in driving alone (for my golf geeks out there), compared to losing a stroke 6 months ago. It simply would not have been possible without the Brawn Performance programme, and Dan’s constant guidance and support. I cannot thank him enough for the work he has put in for me, and I know we will continue to smash the goals as they come and go.

Professional, personal, and would highly recommend I’ve been working with Dan for nearly a year, and could not recommend him highly enough. I’ve always been involved in sport but not really been a huge gym goer. Like many I was nervous starting with very little experience. But Dan has helped not only by creating plans that are enjoyable for me, but has also provided great support when I’m feeling like I’ve made no progress or am struggling with any technical issues. We initially sat down and established what my goals and ambitions were in the long-term and Dan explained how this might look in practice, over 6-week plans. During the summer I’m a regular cricketer and have had less time to train. Dan adjusted my plans accordingly so that I continued to make progress in my sessions whilst not being able to train as much. I had also seen a massive impact on my own cricket. I was able to hit the ball harder, throw faster and have seen my confidence increase massively. I’m really excited about the next 12 months. Can not thank Dan enough!!

What a journey so far! I joined Dan at the start of October with the main goal of weight loss. Fast forward to the end of Decemeber and I have lost 2 stone. Dan has been a huge help in helping me reach my goals. One of the main things for me was having someone that fitted around my work and social life schedule, playing football 3/4 times a week already, I knew I couldn't get much more cardio in. But what Dan did, is looked at my schedule, built a plan off the back of it and planned workouts around the equipment I have at home rather than the gym. Couldn't recommend Dan enough and looking forward to seeing what the next few months hold.

I started working with Dan and Braun because I have seen him implement his training style in his own life and the benefits that this brought him. As someone who trains at the same BJJ gym as him so see him regularly, I wanted to partner with Dan to achieve my own goal and ambitions. My main aim is to lose weight after going from 83kg to 108kg at my heaviest over a period of 5/6 years. My aim is to get to 90kg but maintaining some strength but being much fitter and healthier than I was at 83kg. The biggest areas of focus for me to ensure the weight loss is nutrition and discipline with nutrition and Dan makes me accountable for these areas with the weekly check ins, as well as being on hand through WhatsApp and the Trucoach app. So far I am down to 99kg from my starting weight of 106kg when starting with Dan. I have had a few weeks of events, including a holiday, a rugby tour and my wife’s birthday and I have managed to maintain throughout these, when before I would usually yo-yo back up in weight. The next step is to regain focus and progress towards the 90kg target. Going forward the plan is to dial it in and be consistent with all areas of the goal - nutrition, sleep and the gym side to ensure I achieve my aim by the end of 2023. I've always struggled with shoulder pain and constant shoulder injuries. Daniel Henderson showed me these stretches 6 months ago, I do them 3x per week before my training sessions. I've not had shoulder pain and have been injury free ever since!!!

Firstly I owe Dan and big fat thank you for helping me to achieve my goal of understanding my body and my habits and for a constant support in every situation. Keeping healthy and athletic is a difficult job but Dan makes it fun and most importantly allows you to create a routine that works with your schedule. He’s helped me to lose over 8kg in weight, sculpt my body and help grow some serious muscle. He has always been available to answer any of my questions and have always pushed me to do more. He’s taught me how to love the time at the gym and how to add extra work on days where my energy levels were higher and I knew I could do more. He’s also taught how to take a step back and that having a break or a lighter session is also good! I would highly recommend Dan to people who are advanced with their gym routine and to those that never had a chance to go gym before or don’t actually know where to start. He will tailor the workout to your needs and goals and will never stop being your number one supporter!! Thank you for all your help so far Dan!
